150,000 residents and guests of Perm took part in City Day festivities.
Over 100 activities were organized for Perm residents at various venues of the city. "The Kama-River" sculpture was unveiled in front of the URAL hotel on Lenin Street.
Mr. Viktor Kuzin, a well-known artist and WWII veteran, was officially awarded the Honorary Citizen of Perm City title.
Various concerts, performances and recitals were shown in all city districts. The music group from the partner-city of Perm - Agrigento (Italy) performed at the central city esplanade. Being guests of the city, students of the University of Louisville enjoyed visiting museums and galleries, listening to Russian pop and rock groups and watching senior citizens dancing waltz and foxtrot to the tunes of Perm Regional Military Band.
